VOCABULARY 2

1. OPAQUE: a material that do not let light pass through them.
The book is an opaque material.


2. TRANSPARENT: a material that let all the light pass through them.
The glass is a tranparent material.

3. Translucent: Letting only some light through,so that objects on the other side appear blurry.



4. Polarization: allowing light vibratios to pass through in only one direction.



5. Refraction: the bending of light rays as they pass from one substance into another.



6. Convex lens: A lens that curves outward(is thicker at the middle than at the edges)and brings lights rays together.



7. Concave lens: A lens that curves inward(is thicker at the edges than at the middle)and spreads light rays apart.
